Climbing Routes on Mt. Rainier
The early season climbs on Mount Rainier saw many ascents via the Disappointment Cleaver. This route, the DC, is usually climbed later in the summer season. However, since there was little snow during the end of the winter season, the Ingraham Direct had been unnavigatable until recently. The past three weeks of low pressure systems in the Northwest have created conditions that have made navigation of the Direct route possible. Currently both the DC and the Direct route have been both ascended and descended.
