Mt. Rainier Winter Expedition Seminar

During the past Winter Expedition Seminar weather was the biggest factor throughout the climb. Winter storms had been moving in and out of the area during Dec. 26th through Jan 4th. The team was able to train in-depth on avalanche awareness and other skills needed to climb on Mt. Rainier and mountains such as Mt. McKinley (Denali).
Due to high avalanche conditions the team was only able to reach an altitude of 7,000 feet. Below is a picture from one of their camps during a snow storm.
