Current Mount Rainier Weather & Pictures

The current weather on Mt. Rainier has allowed for many successful summits this past month. Although 'the mountain' received a minimal amount of snow during the winter months, spring snowfalls and cold upper mountain temperatures have created great climbing conditions.
Below are photos taken on June 29th from the MTTA (Mount Tahoma Trails Association) High Hut. High Hut is located at 4,760 feet and these images show Mt. Rainier as well as a zoomed-in photo of the upper slopes of the Muir Snowfield.

These pictures are beautiful. You know some people dont appreciate a nice overcast view of the mountain but to me it really shows how fierce the weather can be up there, even in the middle of summer. I wonder, why has the blog been so inactive. I check it almost every day yet I rarely see any activity, perhaps you could have more regular updates of basecamp events. I love your site and it seems that whoever does your web work is really on top of things, she must be very smart. p.s. I'd love to see some more overcast views of the mountain, actually seeing the mountain is a little too much for me!
